Understanding the 7-Day Trial

Church RSVP's 7-day trial system lets you test and set up each event before paying.

How Event Trials Work

Unlike subscription-based platforms, Church RSVP operates on a pay-per-event model with trials:

  • Every new event automatically starts with a 7-day trial
  • During the trial, you have full access to all features
  • After 7 days, you must purchase the event to continue
  • You only pay once per event - no recurring fees

Key Point: The trial is per-event, not per-organization. You can create multiple events, and each one gets its own 7-day trial!

What’s Included in the Trial?

There are no limitations during the trial period. Everything works exactly as it would after purchase.

When Does the Trial Start?

The 7-day trial begins the moment you create your event. The timer runs continuously from that point.

What Happens After 7 Days?

When your trial period ends, you have two options:

Option 1: Purchase the Event

Make a one-time payment to permanently activate the event. After purchasing:

  • Event remains fully active indefinitely
  • Continue accepting RSVPs
  • Keep all existing RSVPs and data
  • All features remain available
  • Landing page stays live

Option 2: Let the Trial Expire

If you don’t purchase before the trial ends:

  • Event landing page becomes unavailable
  • New RSVPs cannot be accepted
  • Existing RSVP data is preserved
  • You can still purchase later to reactivate

Important: If your event is actively collecting RSVPs, make sure to purchase before the trial expires to avoid interruptions!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I extend my trial?

The 7-day trial period is fixed and cannot be extended. However, if you need more time to decide, you can let the trial expire and purchase later to reactivate the event.

What happens to RSVPs collected during the trial?

All RSVPs collected during your trial are permanently saved. If you purchase the event, they remain active. If the trial expires, the data is preserved and reactivated when you purchase.

Can I get multiple trials for the same event?

No, each event gets one 7-day trial. You cannot delete and recreate the same event to get additional trials.

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

No! You can create events and start your trial without providing payment information. You only need to add payment details when you’re ready to purchase.

Is there a limit to how many trial events I can create?

You can create unlimited events, and each one gets its own 7-day trial. Create as many as you need!

What if I decide not to use the event after the trial?

That’s perfectly fine! Simply let the trial expire. There’s no charge, no cancellation needed, and no obligation. The event will become inactive, but you can archive it for your records.
